Takeshi "Tak" Furumoto, President and CEO of Furumoto Realty, has 37 years of industry experience in the tri-state area. He started Furumoto Realty 35 years ago and has offices in Manhattan; Scarsdale, NY; Fort Lee, NJ; and Tokyo, Japan. He has extensive experience in all facets of the real estate industry including residential, commercial and retail sales and leasing, development, and property management. In the 1980’s and early 1990’s he was involved with hundreds of millions of dollars of transactions with Japanese companies in the metropolitan New York area – primarily in Midtown Manhattan.

Mr. Furumoto holds a B.A. in Business from UCLA. In addition, he was an Officer in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971, and was decorated with the Bronze Star in 1970 while serving in Vietnam. Mr. Furumoto is actively involved in the community and currently serves as Chairman of the Hiroshima-kai of New York and as a Director of the Japanese American Association of New York.
