IOREBA GOLF AND TENNIS OUTING PAYS TRIBUTE TO JEFFREY SIEGEL
100 Participants, More than Two Dozen Sponsors Support Annual Event

MORRISTOWN, N.J., Aug. 21, 2009 - The 40th Annual Industrial and Office Real Estate Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area, Inc. (IOREBA) Golf and Tennis Outing brought industry leaders together to pay tribute to industry icon Jeffrey J. Siegel. Some 100 participants honored the former executive vice president of Murray Construction Co., Inc., who passed away last fall.

The Morris County Golf Club in Morristown served as host for the annual IOREBA event. During the outing dinner David Simson, Siegel’s personal friend and vice chairman/COO, Newmark Knight Frank, addressed the guests. “Jeffrey J. Siegel had the capability to meet someone and immediately engage them as a friend and create a special bond,” he said. “The individuals who had the opportunity to know him were truly blessed and their lives were more enriched. The only ones luckier than his friends were his family. All of us in the real estate industry understand the loss to the community, but his legacy will live on for many years. Jeff, we all miss you very much.”

And avid golfer, himself, Siegel was highly respected by clients and colleagues during his tenure at Murray Construction. He spent 35 years contributing to his firm’s success as a leading tri-state area developer and general contractor. Additionally, he served on the boards of IOREBA and NAIOP-NJ, and sat on advisory committees for a number of trade publications.

Putting sponsors included Murray Construction (event/cocktail hour), Russo Development Corporation (halfway house), Welsh Chester Galiney Matone, Inc. (longest drive), PSE&G (putting contest sponsor) and Platinum Bank & Trust (closest to the pin). The AZTEC Corporation, Carl Berger Associates and Coldwell Banker Commercial/Feist & Feist Realty Corp contributed to the prize fund.

Corporate hole sponsors included Farer & Fersko, Hartz Mountain Industries, Inc., Seagis Property Group, Zimmel Associates, Jones Lang LaSalle, The Morris Companies, Douglas J. Kelly Associates, J.D. Carton & Son, Inc. and Mack Management & Construction Corp. Custom hole sponsors included CPG Interactive, Matrix Development Group, Ryan Wolfe Kossar Foundation, The Furniture X-Change, Colliers Houston & Co., Jim O’Brien Architects LLC, Newmark Knight Frank and Federal Business Centers.

IOREBA members Jeff Furey; Mike Markey, Colliers Houston & Co.; Mike Messer, Gallo Geffner Fenster, P.C.; Dan Saxon, Kurgan-Bergen Realtors; and Ron Kraft comprised the 2009 golf and tennis outing committee.
